Also known as a target elbow or cushion block, this specialized fitting incorporates an advanced dual-chamber pocket that captures stagnant fluid and sand during operation. This trapped media forms a natural, resilient "cushion" that absorbs the impact of incoming slurry, shielding the outer metal wall from severe abrasive wear.

In high-pressure fracturing, cementing, and high-sand well flowback operations, standard short or long-radius elbows experience rapid wall-thinning due to direct localized impingement. By redirecting the abrasive wear away from the raw steel and onto the trapped fluid layer, the double cushion design drastically extends the operational lifespan of the iron package.
