The Crossover Adapter, 3" FIG 1502 Female (Thread) x 3" FIG 206 Male (Wing), is a highly specialized, forged steel flowline component engineered to safely transition between extreme high-pressure equipment and standard low-pressure fluid systems within a 3-inch piping setup. This essential adapter allows field operators to directly connect standard 15,000 PSI (FIG 1502) manifold components into 2,000 PSI (FIG 206) low-pressure lines, such as suction lines, return lines, or mud tank headers, without fabricating multi-piece workarounds.
In demanding surface operations, it is frequently necessary to tie high-pressure well service iron back into lower-pressure storage, mixing, or fluid transfer infrastructure. By bridging this significant gap in connection profiles and pressure ratings with a single integral fitting, this adapter eliminates the need to stack multiple swages. This significantly reduces the overall rig-up footprint, minimizes potential leak paths, and speeds up the rig-up process.
The 3" FIG 1502 end provides a precision-machined female thread (sub) connection designed to safely seat a standard 1502 male wing profile. Conversely, the 3" FIG 206 end features a standard low-pressure male wing configuration complete with a wingnut and the FIG 206 signature O-ring seal for reliable, leak-free fluid transfer.
Note: While the 3" FIG 1502 connection is nominally rated for 15,000 PSI, the overall working pressure of this crossover assembly is strictly limited by the 3" FIG 206 connection, resulting in a maximum system pressure rating of 2,000 PSI (2K CWP).
Features & Benefits
-
Seamless Pressure Transition: Connects large-bore 15K iron to 2K low-pressure iron of the same 3-inch pipe diameter, offering essential flexibility for fluid return and suction lines.
-
Female x Male Configuration: Features a precision 1502 threaded sub on one end and a standard 206 wingnut on the other, ideal for direct integration into existing low-pressure setups.
-
O-Ring Sealed Profile: The FIG 206 male end incorporates a primary O-ring seal, ensuring bubble-tight fluid containment even in low-pressure or suction applications.
-
Reduced Leak Paths: Single-piece integral forged construction eliminates the need to stack multiple threaded adapters, drastically reducing potential failure points.
-
Heavy-Duty Forged Construction: Manufactured from high-strength alloy steel to withstand rig environment abuse, vibration, and continuous abrasive fluid transfer.

Applications
This 3-inch crossover adapter is widely used in surface operations where transitioning from 15,000 PSI manifolds down to 2,000 PSI fluid systems is required without reducing the pipe diameter. Typical applications include tying high-pressure lines into mud tank suction lines, fluid return lines, cement mixing headers, water transfer manifolds, and general low-pressure flowline operations where 3" 1502 equipment must interface with 3" 206 equipment.
Quality Assurance
All our crossover adapters are manufactured from premium forged alloy steel and subjected to strict quality control processes. Each fitting undergoes rigorous dimensional inspection and hydrostatic pressure testing prior to shipment to ensure absolute safety, shell integrity, and seal performance under working loads. Full material traceability is available to guarantee compliance with API guidelines.
