In sour gas operations, standard flowline iron is susceptible to Sulfide Stress Cracking (SSC). To mitigate this risk, this crossover is manufactured from high-strength forged alloy steel that has undergone specialized heat-treatment processes to control hardness levels in accordance with NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156. This ensures the structural integrity of the connection when exposed to sour well fluids, protecting both personnel and the environment.

The 3" FIG 1002 Male end comes complete with a heavy-duty wingnut for rapid "hammer-up" installation, while the 2" FIG 1502 Female end features a precision-machined thread (sub) connection. This integral one-piece design eliminates the need for multiple adapters, reducing potential leak paths and ensuring a more compact, reliable rig-up.

Note: While the 2" FIG 1502 end is nominally a 15K connection, the overall assembly is limited by the FIG 1002 rating and sour service de-rating, resulting in a maximum working pressure of 10,000 PSI (10K CWP).
