The Crossover Adapter, 3" FIG 1502 Female (Thread) x 3" FIG 206 Male (Wing), is a heavy-duty, forged steel flowline component engineered to safely and efficiently transition between extreme high-pressure equipment and low-pressure fluid systems of the same pipe diameter. This crucial adapter allows field operators to seamlessly connect standard 3-inch 15,000 PSI (FIG 1502) flowline iron to 3-inch 2,000 PSI (FIG 206) low-pressure piping systems without fabricating complex, multi-piece workarounds.
In standard oilfield operations, it is frequently necessary to tie high-pressure manifolds directly into low-pressure systems, such as mud tanks, suction lines, or water transfer hoses. By bridging this massive gap in pressure ratings and connection profiles with a single integral fitting, this adapter dramatically reduces the overall rig-up footprint, minimizes potential leak paths, and speeds up the rig-up process.
The 3" FIG 1502 end features a precision-machined female thread (sub) connection, while the 3" FIG 206 end features a male wing configuration complete with a heavy-duty wingnut and an O-ring seal for low-pressure fluid containment.
Note: While the 3" FIG 1502 connection is nominally rated for 15,000 PSI, the overall working pressure of this crossover assembly is strictly limited by the 3" FIG 206 connection, resulting in a maximum system pressure rating of 2,000 PSI (2K CWP).
Features & Benefits
-
Seamless Pressure Transition: Connects extreme high-pressure 3-inch 15K iron to low-pressure 3-inch 2K iron, offering essential flexibility for fluid transfer and suction lines.
-
Reduced Leak Paths: Single-piece forged construction eliminates the need to stack multiple swages and adapters, drastically reducing potential failure points.
-
Heavy-Duty Forged Construction: Manufactured from high-strength alloy steel to withstand rig vibration, physical impacts, and abrasive fluid flow.
-
Fast Installation: The 3" FIG 206 male end includes a standard wingnut, allowing for rapid makeup and breakout on low-pressure lines using rig hammers.
-
Reliable Low-Pressure Sealing: The FIG 206 profile utilizes an O-ring secondary seal in the male sub, providing superior sealing for low-pressure liquids and slurries.

Applications
This crossover adapter is widely used in surface operations where transitioning from high-pressure manifolds down to low-pressure fluid systems is required. Typical applications include mud mixing systems, suction hoses, water transfer lines, cementing truck intake manifolds, and general manifold tie-ins where 3" 15K equipment must safely interface with low-pressure 3" 2K tank equipment.
Quality Assurance
All our crossover adapters are manufactured from premium forged alloy steel and subjected to strict quality control processes. Each fitting undergoes rigorous dimensional inspection and hydrostatic pressure testing prior to shipment to ensure absolute safety, shell integrity, and seal performance under working loads. Full material traceability is available to guarantee compliance with API guidelines.
