The 2" FIG 1502 Swing Type Check Valve is a heavy-duty, high-pressure directional flow control valve engineered for the most rigorous oilfield applications. Built to safely withstand extreme working pressures up to 15,000 PSI (15K CWP), this integral hammer union check valve is a critical safety component designed to ensure unidirectional fluid flow and instantaneously prevent hazardous high-pressure backflow during demanding pumping, fracturing, and cementing operations.
The swing-style mechanism features a high-strength clapper (or disc) that swings completely open and out of the primary flow path when active. This creates a full-bore, unobstructed passage that significantly reduces turbulence, pressure drop, and internal wear. Because of this full-bore design, the swing check valve is exceptionally well-suited for high-velocity operations involving highly abrasive fluids, such as heavy cement slurries, frac sand, and proppant-laden flowback.
When forward flow stops or reverse pressure is detected, gravity and the reverse fluid pressure immediately force the clapper shut against the precision-machined seat, creating a reliable, bubble-tight seal that protects upstream pumps, flowline iron, and personnel.
Features & Benefits
-
Full-Bore Flow Design: The swing mechanism allows the disc to move completely out of the fluid path, minimizing turbulence and erosion when pumping highly abrasive frac sand and cement slurries.
-
Extreme Pressure Rating: The rugged forged steel body is built to safely handle 15,000 PSI cold working pressures in aggressive high-pressure drilling and production environments.
-
Integral FIG 1502 Connections: Features standard 2-inch FIG 1502 hammer union ends (Male x Female) for fast, secure, and leak-free makeup and breakout in the field.
-
High-Strength Internals: The internal swing disc and seat are machined from heat-treated alloy steel for maximum wear resistance and long-term reliability under abrasive conditions.
-
Field Maintainable: Designed with a top-entry cover, allowing operators to quickly inspect or replace internal wear components (clapper, seat, and seals) inline without removing the entire valve body from the flowline.

Applications
The 2" FIG 1502 Swing Type Check Valve is a staple in high-pressure surface operations where large volumes of abrasive fluids are pumped. Typical applications include high-rate fracturing manifolds, cementing lines, acidizing jobs, well testing packages, and general flowback setups requiring a full-bore flow path and reliable reverse-flow prevention.
Quality Assurance
All our swing type check valves are manufactured from premium forged alloy steel and subjected to rigorous quality control processes. Each unit undergoes strict hydrostatic pressure testing prior to shipment to ensure shell integrity and bubble-tight seal performance under maximum working loads. Full material traceability and certification are available to guarantee safety and compliance with API guidelines.
