The BX-152 Ring Type Joint (RTJ) Gasket is a high-performance, pressure-energized metal sealing ring designed for use with API 6BX flanges in high-pressure oilfield applications. Engineered for systems operating at pressures from 10,000 PSI to 20,000 PSI, the BX-152 provides a robust, blowout-proof seal for wellheads, blowout preventers (BOPs), and high-pressure manifolds.

Manufactured from premium Low Carbon Steel (LCS), this gasket is precision-machined and subsequently zinc-plated (or coated with a similar corrosion inhibitor) to prevent oxidation and ensure integrity during storage and installation. The BX series features a unique geometry that allows for face-to-face contact between mating flanges. Once installed, the gasket is completely enclosed within the groove, making it highly resistant to vibration, temperature fluctuations, and mechanical shock.

The pressure-energized design means that as internal system pressure rises, the gasket is forced more tightly against the flange's sealing surfaces, further enhancing the metal-to-metal seal. Additionally, the BX-152 includes a standard pressure-equalizing vent hole to prevent pressure entrapment behind the ring, ensuring safe and predictable performance during decompression.
