The Crossover Adapter, 4" FIG 1002 Female (Thread) x 3" FIG 1502 Male (Wing) with a 7-inch length, is a high-capacity, heavy-duty forged steel flowline component engineered to safely and securely connect dissimilar hammer union sizes and pressure ratings. This crucial adapter allows field operators to seamlessly transition from large-bore 4-inch 10,000 PSI (FIG 1002) piping systems down to 3-inch 15,000 PSI (FIG 1502) flowline iron without compromising structural integrity or sealing performance.
In complex, high-volume oilfield operations such as massive fracturing jobs, heavy cementing, and large-scale well testing, rig-ups often require mating equipment from different systems and bridging specific gaps. This crossover features an extended 7-inch overall length, providing essential clearance and reach for custom large-volume manifold configurations. It eliminates the need to stack multiple fittings or use spacer pup joints, thereby reducing the overall footprint, minimizing potential leak paths, and ensuring a streamlined, high-capacity flow rate.
The 4" FIG 1002 end features a precision-machined female thread connection, while the 3" FIG 1502 end includes a male wing configuration complete with a heavy-duty wingnut for fast, hammer-up installation.
Note: While the 3" FIG 1502 connection is nominally rated for 15,000 PSI, the overall working pressure of this crossover assembly is strictly limited by the 4" FIG 1002 connection, resulting in a maximum system pressure rating of 10,000 PSI (10K CWP).
