The Crossover Adapter, 4" FIG 1502 Male (Wing) x 4" FIG 1002 Female (Thread), is an ultra-heavy-duty, forged steel flowline component engineered to safely and efficiently transition between different pressure ratings within a large-bore, 4-inch piping system. This crucial adapter allows field operators to seamlessly connect extreme high-pressure 15,000 PSI (FIG 1502) manifold connections directly into 10,000 PSI (FIG 1002) fluid systems without the need to fabricate complex, multi-piece workarounds.

In standard large-scale oilfield operations, such as high-rate well testing or massive frac flowback, it is frequently necessary to tie 15K mainlines into 10K distribution headers or existing infrastructure. By bridging this significant gap in pressure ratings and connection profiles with a single integral fitting, this adapter dramatically reduces the overall rig-up footprint, minimizes potential leak paths, and speeds up the rig-up process.

The 4" FIG 1502 end features a standard heavy-duty male wing configuration complete with a wingnut for fast, hammer-up installation into 15K equipment, while the 4" FIG 1002 end provides a precision-machined female thread (sub) connection designed to safely seat the corresponding FIG 1002 male profile.

Note: While the 4" FIG 1502 connection is nominally rated for 15,000 PSI, the overall working pressure of this crossover assembly is strictly limited by the 4" FIG 1002 connection, resulting in a maximum system pressure rating of 10,000 PSI (10K CWP).

Features & Benefits

  • Seamless Pressure Transition: Connects large-bore 15K iron to 10K iron of the same 4-inch pipe diameter, offering essential flexibility for fluid transfer and high-volume manifolds.

  • Reduced Leak Paths: Single-piece integral forged construction eliminates the need to stack multiple swages and adapters, drastically reducing potential failure points.

  • Male x Female Configuration: Features a heavy-duty 1502 wingnut on one end and a precision 1002 threaded sub on the other, ideal for direct integration into existing setups.

  • Heavy-Duty Forged Construction: Manufactured from high-strength alloy steel to withstand severe shock loads, extreme vibration, and massive volumes of abrasive fluid flow.

  • Reliable 10K Sealing: The FIG 1002 female profile ensures proper seating and compression of the secondary elastomeric seal present on mating male 1002 components.

Applications

This large-bore crossover adapter is widely used in surface operations where transitioning from 15,000 PSI manifolds down to 10,000 PSI fluid systems is required without reducing the pipe diameter. Typical applications include high-rate well testing packages, massive frac manifold tie-ins, choke and kill lines, pump discharge headers, and general flowline operations where 4" 15K equipment must safely interface with 4" 10K equipment.

Quality Assurance

All our crossover adapters are manufactured from premium forged alloy steel and subjected to strict quality control processes. Each fitting undergoes rigorous dimensional inspection and hydrostatic pressure testing prior to shipment to ensure absolute safety, shell integrity, and seal performance under working loads. Full material traceability is available to guarantee compliance with API guidelines.
