The 2" FIG 1502 9-Valve, 2-Choke Manifold is an elite, severe-service pressure control system engineered for extreme oilfield flowback, well testing, and high-hazard drill-out operations. Positioned downstream of the wellhead or trash catcher, this manifold is designed to safely step down immense wellbore pressures before the fluid stream reaches the test separators or atmospheric tanks.

The advanced 9-valve architecture provides a critical operational advantage: Double Block and Bleed (DBB) isolation across a dual-choke configuration. Unlike standard 5-valve manifolds, the 9-valve setup utilizes redundant high-pressure plug or gate valves on both the inlet and outlet sides of each choke, along with an isolated bypass line. In ultra-high-pressure scenarios or lethal sour gas (H2S) environments, this double isolation is absolutely mandatory. It guarantees that field technicians can safely depressurize a line to change a washed-out adjustable choke stem or swap a positive choke bean without any risk of wellbore pressure leaking past a single closed valve.

Built from premium forged alloy steel and fully rated for 15,000 PSI Cold Working Pressure (CWP), the 2-inch manifold offers a more compact, highly mobile footprint than 3-inch models while still delivering exceptional fluid control. This ensures continuous, uninterrupted well flow and maximum operator safety during the most demanding well clean-up phases.

Features & Benefits

  • Double Block & Bleed (DBB) Safety: The 9-valve configuration provides redundant, double-valve isolation for both choke paths, maximizing operator safety during maintenance in high-pressure or H2S environments.

  • Continuous Dual-Path Operation: Allows operators to seamlessly divert the flow stream through the bypass line or secondary choke, enabling zero-downtime choke bean changes on the primary line.

  • Versatile Flow Control: Typically outfitted with one adjustable choke for dynamic, real-time pressure manipulation and one positive choke for steady-state flow measurement.

  • 15,000 PSI Pressure Containment: Fully rated for 15,000 PSI CWP, featuring standard 2-inch FIG 1502 hammer union connections for secure, leak-free rig-ups on the frac iron flowline.

  • Extreme Durability: Manufactured with hardened internal choke components to resist severe scouring from high-velocity frac sand, milled composites, and abrasive wellbore solids.

Applications

The 2" 9-Valve Dual Choke Manifold is specifically deployed in highly regulated flowback, underbalanced drilling, and well testing operations where strict safety protocols mandate DBB isolation. It is the premier choice for bleeding down high-pressure wells, controlling the flow rate of returning frac fluids, and protecting downstream separation equipment in hazardous onshore and offshore environments.

Quality Assurance

Engineered in strict accordance with API 6A and API 16C specifications for choke and kill equipment. All pressure-retaining bodies, valves, and choke housings undergo rigorous non-destructive testing (NDT)—including ultrasonic (UT) and magnetic particle (MPI) inspections. The entire manifold skid is hydrostatically pressure tested to 1.5x working pressure (22,500 PSI) before field deployment to guarantee absolute structural integrity.
