The 3" FIG 1502 Flapper Type Check Valve is a high-capacity, heavy-duty directional flow control valve engineered for the most demanding large-bore oilfield applications. Built to safely withstand extreme working pressures up to 15,000 PSI (15K CWP), this integral hammer union check valve is a critical safety component designed to ensure unidirectional fluid flow and prevent hazardous high-pressure backflow during aggressive pumping, fracturing, and cementing operations.

The flapper mechanism features a hinged clapper that swings completely open and out of the primary flow path when active. In a 3-inch flowline, this creates a massive, full-bore unobstructed passage that significantly reduces turbulence, pressure drop, and internal wear. Because of this high-volume, full-bore design, the 3" flapper check valve is exceptionally well-suited for high-velocity operations involving highly abrasive fluids, such as heavy cement slurries, massive volumes of frac sand, and proppant-laden flowback.
