This essential adapter allows field operators to seamlessly transition from large-bore 4-inch 10,000 PSI (FIG 1002) piping lines down to 3-inch 15,000 PSI (FIG 1502) flowline iron without compromising structural integrity or sealing performance.
A distinct defining feature of this specific crossover is its Male x Male (Wing x Wing) configuration. Both ends of the adapter are equipped with heavy-duty wingnuts, making it an indispensable solution for directly joining two female (thread) union connections in high-volume manifold layouts. By bridging these female connections directly, this adapter eliminates the need for stacking multiple fittings or inserting unnecessary spacer pup joints, which significantly reduces the overall footprint, minimizes potential leak paths, and prevents hazardous pressure bottlenecks.
Note: While the 3" FIG 1502 connection is nominally rated for 15,000 PSI, the overall working pressure of this crossover assembly is strictly limited by the 4" FIG 1002 connection, resulting in a maximum system pressure rating of 10,000 PSI (10K CWP).
