The Crossover Adapter, 6" FIG 206 Female (Thread) x 4" FIG 206 Male (Wing), is a massive, heavy-duty fabricated flowline component engineered to safely handle extreme-volume step-down sizing transitions within 2,000 PSI low-pressure fluid transfer systems. Utilizing a highly durable Butt Welded Schedule XH (Extra Heavy) pipe construction, this large-bore adapter allows field operators to step down from massive 6-inch main lines directly into standard 4-inch equipment.
In large-scale surface operations, adapting massive 6-inch mud tank suction lines or main fluid return headers down to 4-inch distribution lines is a frequent necessity. By bridging this significant gap in bore size with a single integral welded fitting, this adapter eliminates the hazardous need to stack multiple threaded bell reducers and swages. This streamlined solution vastly accelerates the rig-up process, minimizes the overall footprint, and drastically reduces potential leak paths in high-vibration systems.
The 6" FIG 206 end provides a precision-machined female thread (sub) connection designed to safely seat a 6-inch 206 male wing profile. Conversely, the 4" FIG 206 end features a standard low-pressure 4-inch male wing configuration complete with a heavy-duty wingnut and the signature FIG 206 O-ring seal for reliable, bubble-tight fluid transfer. The entire butt-welded assembly is rated for a continuous 2,000 PSI cold working pressure (2K CWP).
